【教学内容】
小学英语3A Unit8 Happy New Year! Period 1 Story time
【教材分析】
本课程主题围绕“人与社会”展开。在Story time板块中,Uncle John与孩子们互道“Happy New Year”庆贺新年,并为孩子们带来了新年礼物,孩子们在询问对方礼物时运用到What’s this?What’s that?It’s...的重点句型。本课时为学生渲染了轻松快乐的新年氛围,让学生感受到分享礼物的愉快,并在比较中感知国内外文化的异同。
【教学目标】
1.语言能力
(1)学生能够听懂、会读、会说重点词汇:happy、new、year、doll、robot、ball。
(2)学生能够听懂、会读、会说重点句型:Happy New Year、What’s this/that、This is for you。
2.文化意识
(1)学生能够了解新年的相关文化知识,并感受新年的快乐氛围。
(2)学生能够感知中外在收礼物时的文化差异,尊重和理解不同的国家文化,形成“和而不同”的文化品格。
3.思维品质
学生能够通过观察比较,锻炼逻辑思维能力和分析推断能力,促进良好思维品质的形成。
4.学习能力
(1)学生能够通过小组合作活动,锻炼合作能力以及与他人交往沟通能力。
(2)学生能够通过自主探究活动,积极思考并尝试解决,提高学生的自主学习的意识和能力,增强英语学习的积极性。

学生能够正确理解并朗读课文内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试表演对话。

【设计意图】以游戏的形式激活学生旧知What’s this?并带领学生体会收到礼物的快乐情绪。同时,巧妙设置悬念,另一个盒子里面有什么呢?我们该如何打开它?引起学生的好奇心,进一步激发学生的学习积极性,导入本单元课文内容的教学,为What’s that?的句型做下铺垫。
二、While-reading
1.Look and guess
T:Look,they are our old friends Mike and Helen.Today,they’re so happy because it’s New Year’s Day.Let’s say“Happy New Year”.And here comes a man,who’s he?Let’s ask him together!
S:What’s your name?
T:Oh,he is Uncle John.Today,he comes.What does he do?Please look at the four pictures and try to guess.

T:Who gets these presents?This time,please open your books,read the story carefully,try to underline the key sentences and circle the key words out.
