教学目标
1.能听懂,会说,会读单词sign, shopping center, mean, around.
2.能听懂,会说,会用“What does it mean? It means……”“No littering/ parking/ smoking……”“You can/ can’t ……”等重点句型。
3.能够流利朗读并理解课文内容。
4.使学生树立公共场所基本文明礼仪观念,懂得遵守公共秩序,培养学生正确的人生观和价值观。
教学重难点
1.掌握单词sign, shopping center, mean, around与句型“What does it mean? It means……”和no+doing(动名词)结构。
2.能感知并理解课文,用不同的语气朗读并表演课文。
3.能在一定的语境中,正确使用核心句型。
教案设计
导入
Step 1: 讨论导入
老师出示若干公共场所的不文明行为,让学生通过小组讨论,说明这些行为错在哪里。
图1: Tim speaks loudly in the cinema.
图2: Peter feeds fish by the lake.
图3: Jack and John are running a red light.
老师总结,在公共场所要注意自己的行为举止。如果不清楚什么该做,什么不该做的话,会有一些标志(sign)提醒大家。

新课
Step 2: 理清文章脉络
1.检查预习作业。
T: You have already previewed the text, please tell me where do Mike and his friends go?
老师教授shopping center, juice shop, bookshop, restaurant.
2.观看课文动画,回答问题。
问题1: What signs can they see at the shopping centre?
老师展示四个标志的图片。
问题2: What do they mean?
T: Underline the key sentences with your pencil.
老师讲解wet, litter等词。
3.初步了解重点句型。Yy
T: If I want to know the meaning of these signs, I can say: What does it mean?You can answer: It means……
老师领读重点句型。
Step 3: 学习第一幅图
T: Let’s look at the first sign. What does it mean?
Ss: It means the floor is wet.
T: What should we do when the floor is wet?
Ss: We should be careful.
老师指导学生读出“be careful”的语气。
Step 4: 学习第二幅图
T: How about the second sign? What does it mean?
Ss: It means we can’t litter.
小组讨论litter的含义,并做动作表演。(Do some actions)
同桌对话。
Step 5: 学习第三幅图
学生跟录音朗读课文第三段。(sentence by sentence)
老师解释go in与take……into的含义。
让学生用“What sign it is?”和“What does it mean?”对第三幅图进行句型操练。
老师指导学生读出“I’m sorry”的语气。
Step 6: 学习第四幅图
老师先讲解smoke与smell的含义,然后让学生围绕第四幅图进行一个情景对话训练。

Step 7: 小组讨论,完成表格
老师让学生跟录音朗读全文,然后通过小组讨论完成以下表格。

老师展示一些公共场所的标志,让学生根据不同的情境编写对话并表演。要求使用“What does it mean? It means……”“No littering/ parking/ smoking……”“You can/ can’t ……”等重点句型。
